Worked example: during the screen, a player shows a pronounced forward pelvic tilt at address and mentions their lower back often feels tight after range sessions. The tempting move for an enthusiastic new certificand is to design a corrective program for the back complaint itself. That crosses a boundary. TPI's own framing places pain and medical evaluation outside what a Level 1 screen is for; the screen evaluates physical readiness and its correlation with swing characteristics, and it is not a diagnosis of discomfort.
The better decision: document the postural observation, correlate it with the swing characteristics it relates to in your notes, and flag the reported symptom as a referral point to an appropriate qualified professional before any training emphasis changes. Why it matters: Level 1 establishes a screening and communication role. Run a paper-based observation drill: watch recorded swings and written screen descriptions, complete a three-column correlation sheet, and score yourself against a rubric that rewards bidirectional reasoning and correct referral decisions.
